Brett was called to ministry after serving 20 years in the building trade industry. After involvement with "Restored 2 Life" church beginning in 2005, Brett volunteered at Center of Hope for two years before being hired as Ministry Assistant. He served the Center with management of programs and finance. During this part-time job, Brett continued his education obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Brett then attended Sioux Falls Seminary for two years, earning a Certificate of Theology in 2010. Since then, Brett has been a full time staff member.
John joined the Center of Hope staff as initially as the Bike Ministry Coordinator in February of 2016. He is now serving in the role of pastor and is attending Western Seminary. John is a former Center of Hope board member and has been in Youth Ministry. He is married and has 5 children. He has a passion for sharing Christ and walking with others through their struggles. It is a great combination for his role.
Gloria Weber RN
Faith Community Nurse
Gloria started her nursing career in 1978 in the medical/surgical and intensive care units. She worked part-time for 10 years in coronary care and intensive care units. In 1998 she went to work for the Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital in post anesthesia care. In 2014 she received training in Faith Community Nursing and worked as RN coordinator for the SIGH Clinic (Stepping Into Good Health).
She is excited to be at the Center of Hope and continue her role as a Faith Community Nurse.
Bike Ministry and Volunteer Coordinator / Outreach Pastor
Adam joined the Center of Hope team in June 2016. He is married to Michaela Hofer, and they have two children. He has a passion for God, bikes, and street ministry. He feels privileged to serve at the Center of Hope because it is the perfect place to tell people the good news of Jesus Christ and to serve the people of Sioux Falls in the name of Jesus.
Rick joined the Center of Hope Staff in June, 2021. Rick is married to his wife Julie for 34 years. He graduated from Northwestern College in 1987, and worked for a wholesale greenhouse near Boyden, IA, for 17 years. Following graduation from Sioux Falls Seminary in 2005, he served as Pastor at the First Reformed Church in Edgerton, MN for 8 1/2 years, The Reformed Church in Dell Rapids, SD, for 4 1/2 years, and Inspiration Hills for 1 1/2 years. He also was a high school football coach for 8 years. He is a chosen instrument of God to carry His name in making disciples, encourage ministry, and invest in relationships that will bear much fruit.
Volunteer Clothing Ministry
Joanne is a volunteer who has given many hours of service to the Clothing Ministry, that is offered in the Care Center. Joanne does sorting and pricing, and is in charge of the backroom where all this happens. She has also served as a board member.
