Every day Center of Hope helps the guests who come through our doors get through  difficult life challenges.

This summer we want to challenge you! You can help in supporting our ministry by participating in the Walk, Run, Ride Challenge!

This fitness challenge is a fun and beneficial way for you to challenge yourself to better health. Those who accept this challenge are encouraged to also challenge your friends to participate! All who complete their chosen challenges will be in the drawing for fun prizes.  See the rules below for how the challenges work.

When: Walk & Run Challenge will run the month of June.   June 1 to 302017

The Ride (Bicycle) Challenge will run 6 months from April 1 through Sept 302017

 Registration: Walk & Run Challenge will open March 12017

The Ride (Bicycle) Challenge will open March 12017

 Cost: Choose as many challenges as you wish!

  1. One challenge:       $20 per person
  2. Two challenges:     $35 per person
  3. Three challenges:  $50 per person

 Rules: 

  1.  Register with the registration button above.
  2. Select the challenges in which you will participate and your distance goal.
  3. Pay your registration fee.
  4. Download MapMyRide app onto your smart phone. You may also use MapMyFitness.
  5. We will send you a link to join the challenge(s) you requested.
  6. Workouts will be tracked via  MapMyRide or MapMyFitness and Center of Hope will automatically receive notifications as you complete rides and add them to your mileage. Only those workouts logged through these apps will be accepted.
  7. You can begin tracking your workouts on the day the challenge begins.
  8. Should you forget to track your workout, you can also log it manually.
  9. Take selfies of your walks, runs, or rides, and share them with #centerofhopesf or email to us  and we will post them on Facebook as well as publicly track our leaders.run.jpg
  10. Nominate other riders to take the challenge: just cut/paste this text on your social media status and fill in your friends' names to issue the challenge to them:

 I've accepted the Center of Hope "Walk, Run, Ride" fitness challenge. I now nominate  @friend to also accept this challenge. You've got from June 1 - June 30 to walk/run your preferred number of miles; or from April 1-Sept. 30 to pedal your preferred number of miles.  A third option is to make a donation to Center of Hope (it's  a great cause and you can do it right from your easy chair).

12. Prize winners for the walk and run challenges will be announced July 10. You do not need to be present to win.  The winners of the ride challenge will be announced October 15 at the Falls Area Bike meeting.
